END OF SUMMER
On Saturday, September 21, Hounslow Youth Centre hosted another great event organized by the Polish Clan Association. This time our native (and not only) community from London had the opportunity to celebrate the end of the summer at a family fete with a rich program of attractions and games for children and adults. On the day of the event there was a beautiful, sunny weather, which, as we know, is unpredictably capricious in London. The first guests started to arrive at the place at 17.00 when the event was officially scheduled to start.
One of the main objectives of the fete was auction gifts for the sick boy Matthias, a resident of Feltham, whom our association wanted to support with the money raised from the event. Thanks to the generosity of the donors and the present guests actively participating in the auction, we have raised a total of £820.00, for which we are very grateful to all those involved.
The objects of the auction were:
– 2 double tickets to the Theatre for spectacle “Positive” from City Heroes Club
– 2 bicycles from Jakub Witos ?
– 2 x 2 hours of driving lessons from Lol Driving Academy
– Ride in Polish Fiat 126
– 2 x Flower bouquets from Blooming Boxx London
– Double entry to the Rally from Krzysztof Kozoń to Rally Cross Racing
– Livioon Perfume and Colway Natural Halogen

Apart from the auction, which aroused a lot of excitement among the present guests, there were also plenty of attractions for children. It was quite fun to see huge soap bubbles from Mikes Bubbles, or two performances by the famous Polish illusionist/magician Ziutini known to the general public from the first edition of the TV program Poland Got Talent. There was also a new movement game STICKMON CHALLENGE, which started for good and is for small and big. Besides, the children could enjoy beautifully painted faces, tattoos, delicious cotton candy or madness at the castle-blower, made available by Your Happy Party for free to our children. Adults also had something for themselves – delicious Polish food, salads, barbecue, desserts and ice cream. As you can see, there were many attractions, and they wouldn’t be possible thanks to our regular and new sponsors. Many thanks go to our main sponsor – Mr. Janek, the owner of the Polish shop Kujawiak, for delivering sausages for the barbecue, Kluseczka Polish restaurant for delivering delicious bigos and The Polish Bakery for breads, sweet buns and cakes. It should also be mentioned that it was Mr. Janek who auctioned tickets to the theatre for £200 pounds, which deserves a huge applause.
